The DC Cinematic Universe Timeline Through 2020

So we all know that Batman V. Superman wasn’t quite what we were hoping for, but can we get past that already? Because the DC Universe has a lot of movies in the pipeline right now that are supposed to be released within the next 3 years. Now whether those movies will be as good or as successful as the Marvel Universe movies, we don’t know yet, but anyway, here’s a list of all the upcoming DC movies for the next few years!

 

Wonder Woman – June 2nd, 2017

This next summer we will see the new Wonder Woman movie, starring Gal Gadot which will be set during WWI, and will be the only stand alone film before The Justice League film.

 

Justice League – November 17th, 2017

DC fans are hoping that this will be their savior film, DC’s version of The Avengers basically, let’s hope this one works out for them.

 

The Flash – March 16th, 2018

This one could be tricky since it’s also a TV show right now, how will they tie them together? Are they both going to pretend that the other doesn’t exist? Come on guys, let’s all just get along!

 

Aquaman – July 27th, 2018

Please don’t make this lame, please.

 

Untitled Film – October 5th, 2018

There is much talk around the water cooler about this one! Could this be Ben Affleck’s Batman movie? Apparently he has been writing one and hopes to direct it as well as star in it as Bruce Wayne/Batman, are we excited about this or not? I don’t know what to think!

 

Shazam – April 5th, 2019

A movie that’s been in development for a long time, still with no director or lead actor attached, besides The Rock playing Black Adam. This one is said to be a more comedic movie than the previous DC movies, finally!

 

Justice League Part 2 – June 14th, 2019

This movie will be huge, no questions about it, and that’s pretty much all I have to say about that.

 

Untitled Film – November 1st, 2019

This could be any number of movies actually, a Suicide Squad sequel, although not likely, considering it’s poor box office reception, or it could be another Wonder Woman movie or even Man of Steel 2, it’s a little too far off to tell at this point though.

 

Cyborg – April 3rd, 2020

No director has been set yet, as it’s rumored that this character will show up in at least a few DC movies before 2020, possibly shaping the character’s story.

 

Green Lantern Corps – June 19th, 2020

It looks like they’ve decided to reboot the Green Lantern, but this time apparently with a team of Green Lanterns instead of just one, hope that works out for them.

The Batman

As I said before, there are talks of Ben Affleck writing, directing and starring in a stand alone Batman movie, but as of right now there is no set production timeline.

 

Man of Steel 2

During the early developmental stages of Batman V. Superman, it was supposed to be more of a Man of Steel 2, but overtime changed into what we saw in theaters this last summer, so I suppose Superman is due for his sequel, no release date set yet.
