It looks like we’re off to a great start for 2020 already! It’s only January 4th and Australia is on fire, which has destroyed more than 12 million of acres of forest, 17 people and around 500 million animals and now we’re on the brink of war with Iran! And we’re being lead by a reckless, stupid, ignorant, narcissistic president who brags about having no exit strategy and wants to ensure an easy re-election from his rabid, easily persuaded, ignorant, “Christian” base! Woo!
Oh, and the media is spinning all of this in a million different ways, take this headline from Newsweek:
“Did Trump Just Sign Up to His Own ‘Forever War’?”
Versus this headline from Fox:
“Gen. Keane on Soleimani strike: Trump had a ‘red line’ for Iran and he enforced it.” (Which red lines were those? The ones from the Iran Nuclear Deal that Trump ripped up?) and also “Middle East tensions could boost defense stocks.”
Versus this headline from RedState:
“Sen. Ted Cruz Lights Up Obama Bro Ben Rhodes After His Latest Scorching Hot Take on Iran Situation.”
What are we supposed to think after all of these conflicting headlines and spins? I know where I usually go for my news, but what if they’re wrong? What if everyone’s wrong? Where do we go for reliable, unbiased news? I guess we’ll just have to wait and let history tell us.
