Oh man, this is quite a task! Since we’ve wrapped up the MCU’s Phase 3 with Spider-Man: Far From Home, I feel it’s time to do a definitive ranking of all 23 films. Oh man, I’m about to catch some serious qualms for this I’m sure. If you don’t agree, go qualm yourself!
I’ll start with my least favorite first:
23. The Incredible Hulk
There’s a reason why no one talks about this movie: it sucks.
22. Iron Man 3
Very meh.
21. Iron Man 2
Meh meh.
20. Thor: The Dark World
Boooooring!
19. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Cheesy and lame. It had nothing to do with the Guardians of the Galaxy! It was a movie about daddy issues that just so happened to contain the characters from the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, they weren’t necessary to the plot of the movie at all, whatever! At least it has Baby Groot!
18. Avengers: Age of Ultron
Disappointing follow up to the first Avengers movie.
17. Doctor Strange
Starting to get better, but there’s the whole thing with the white-washing the original characters thing and that whole thing…
16. Thor
Hey, not that bad. *Shoulder shrug*
15. Captain America: The First Avenger
Now we’re really getting somewhere! *Shoulder shrug*
14. Ant-Man and the Wasp
Paul Rudd! Wooo!
13. Spider-Man: Homecoming
I honestly didn’t like it quite as much as other people did.
12. Captain Marvel
It had R.E.M. songs in it so I liked it.
11. Spider-Man: Far From Home
Pretty fun if you don’t think too hard about it…
10. Captain America: Civil War
Intense!
9. Black Panther
Wakanda Forever!!!
8. The Avengers
Great, but it’s hard to go back to, you know? It’s like watching the first Lord of the Rings, been there, done that! It’s not as fun watching them meet each other all over again after you’ve seen all of the movies.
7. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Best sequel so far!
6. Ant-Man
Yes yes yes more Paul Rudd please!
And now for my top 5!
5. Iron Man
The classic that started it all! Good job, everyone involved, you get a round of applause! Without you there probably wouldn’t be 23 movies on this list to rank!
4. Guardians of the Galaxy
So, so good, loved it! This was really the first comedy action movie Marvel put out, and it was a huge success!
3. Thor: Ragnarok
Taika is one of my favorite directors, he brought such a unique sense of humor and style to the MCU. There was also a mini-Jurassic Park reunion, both Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum were in it! Ughh so good! And Chris Hemsworth with short hair and a beard, mmmMMM!
2. Avengers: Endgame
It was a time-heist, time-travel, drama, action movie all wrapped up into one epic film! There’s a reason why it grossed almost $2.8B at the box office, overtaking Avatar, the Last Airbender! Just kidding, it was James Cameron’s Avatar. Anyway, I loved it, but not quite as much as my number 1!
And finally, for my all-time favorite Marvel movie:
Avengers: Infinity War
Wow, I loved every minute of it, it had so much emotional weight and the stakes were so high! It had great humor as well, and the ending had me sitting on the edge of my seat for a whole year waiting for Endgame!
