Gone Girl Review

I’m still recovering from this movie, it’s ridiculous, and I mean that in the best and craziest way possible.

This movie is a trip, and in the end you’re left frustrated, a little confused, and wanting a sequel. Now, I haven’t read the book, so I’m sure there’s parts that they’ve left out. It was a great movie though, it keeps you on the edge of your seat. You’re not sure who to like, who the good guy is or who the bad guy is even, you just know there’s a lot of lying going on and not everything is as it seems.

In the end I feel bad for Ben Affleck‘s character, he gets totally screwed over by his wife. Oh yeah, spoiler alert… His wife is a crazy, manipulative woman who’s used everyone around her for her own benefit. The worst part is that he’s stuck with her, the town already hates him, and he can’t do anything about it! She’s twisted the story to her favor and there’s nothing he can do about it! Sucks for him.

I think the craziest scene is with Neil Patrick Harris’ character, I won’t go into it, but I’m sure you know what scene I’m talking about. I screamed. It’s a very bloody scene, she’s insane, and that’s when you really realize that she’s the bad guy, not that you didn’t suspect that before.

Overall I really enjoyed it. It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat, I had no idea what to expect, I didn’t really read a whole lot about it, so the whole time I had no idea who to believe or what to think of each character, the plot twists totally took me by surprise.

I say: Go See It!
