That’s right, right after the opening weekend of Mad Max: Fury Road, the 4th Mad Max film by Director George Miller, a title for a 5th Mad max film has already been released!
Mad Max: The Wasteland will be the title to the 5th film in the Mad Max saga.
It’s not 100% official yet, since Warner Bros. hasn’t given the green light, but George Miller apparently has numerous scripts and ideas for Max’s next adventures.
The film didn’t rake in as much as Warner Bros. planned, only taking in around $45M this past weekend, and $100M overseas. It came in second to Pitch Perfect 2. So hopefully Warner Bros. will feel confident enough to let George Miller take on film #5, let’s hope so!
